Solid Cactus Names Jon Jensen as Chief Financial Officer

August 18, 2006 (Wilkes-Barre, PA) – Solid Cactus, a Wilkes-Barre, PA based website design and development company, announced today that it has named Jon Jensen as chief financial officer.
Mr. Jensen brings over 35 years of business expertise to his position of CFO of Solid Cactus. His executive-level experience includes serving as the CEO, COO or CFO for numerous public and private entities involved in distribution and manufacture of high technology, electronic, glass, engineered design, fabricated metal and pharmaceutical industries that vary in revenue size from $8 million to $500 million.
Mr. Jensen has served both stand-alone companies and business units of major private and public corporations. Those include: a NASDAQ manufacturer of ethical pharmaceuticals; a NASDAQ manufacturer of retail theft detection devices; a primary manufacturing facility and the Brazilian subsidiary of a NYSE assembler of engineered water-treatment products; a manufacturer of metal lockers and shelving; a venture capital backed assembler of EDP air conditioning equipment; a privately owned, international manufacturer of custom designed power generation equipment.
Mr. Jensen also has extensive experience negotiating, financing and managing acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and joint ventures. Those transactions include: negotiation and sale of Hong Kong and Malaysian software distribution subsidiaries, and a hard drive assembly subsidiary of an NYSE computer hardware distributor; negotiation and financing of the management buy-out of a privately held manufacturer of glass measurement instruments; establishment of multi-site repair facilities for a privately owned, international manufacturer of custom designed power generation equipment; and the formation of a joint venture between a glass and pharmaceutical manufacturer to produce pre-filled disposable syringes.
Mr. Jensen is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with a BS in Management and Economics from Long Island University. He has completed post graduate work in Finance and Accounting at the Stern Graduate School of Business of New York University.
