New Year, New Look!

In the January/February issue of our magazine, eBiz Insider, Donna Talarico wrote a great article called “New Year, New Look.” In it she talks about keeping your website fresh, uncluttered and customer friendly in order to capture the sale. You can spend a fortune on pay-per-click advertising to drive traffic, but if that traffic is hitting your site and making a U-turn, you’re not doing yourself any favors.

The first quarter of each year is typically the time when businesses review the past holiday season and start making plans for the next. Part of those plans should be the freshening up of your website, either with a redesign or the addition of customer friendly features. To help with a mini-review of your site, ask yourself these questions:

• How does your website compare to your competitors?
• Does your current design convey your company’s image properly?
• Are you merchandising your products properly?
• Are items easy to find, add to the cart and is the checkout process easy?
