September “Team Members of the Month”

At Solid Cactus we recognize the stellar performers in our organization each month by selecting a “Team Member of the Month” for each department. In addition to the jealous looks they get from their co-workers each month, those who earn this distinction get their photo hung on our “wall of recognition,” get a coveted reserved parking spot and $25 in Saguaro’s Bucks to use at our in-house restaurant.

And now, without further ado, here are the “Team Members of the Month” for September:

John Tomkoski - “John has been a tremendous contribution to the Sales Team for the past few months. The question is “What hasn’t John Tomkoski done?” Whether creating everything we needed on the fly in Salesforce, managing the entire EchoSign transition process and holding multiple trainings, providing estimates and quotes for every EC and SA, training his young Padawan Matt Major as an Engineer…oh yea, and selling on the side. He truly is the John of all Trades!”

Jason Longo - “Jason stepped up a few months ago and took on a whole department which was about to launch a new product. A lot of people would have cracked under the pressure and quit, but he some how managed to stay somewhat sane (stressing the word somewhat). Not only has he been managing the launch of Cactus On Demand, but also taking on other products such as Feed Perfect and Shipping Manager and is working to make them better, not only for us to manage but also for the clients to use. We also can’t forget about the managerial duties (reports, meetings etc) which take up a lot of time. It is very rare to see Jason leave at 5pm with the rest of the crew. Jason puts in at least 10 hrs if not more a day not including the time he works from home. There are times that Jason is here on the weekends talking with clients trying to resolve any issues that might have came in overnight.”

Jeff Petrosilo - (Note: Although Jeff is a department manager, his team requested he be given the honor this month, and here are comments from his staff.) “Jeff has stepped back into the Internet Marketing department as if he never left, and we are so fortunate to have him in the Director role. Jeff is even tempered, forward thinking, and open minded. He has already contributed those qualities and more to his new role, and has made it a virtually seamless transition. Jeff continues to be an invaluable resource to the department and to the company.”

“Ever since Jeff stepped foot inside the doors of Solid Cactus, he has been committed to finding an innovative solution to help smooth out our work flow and create a better way of doing things. Since taking over the Director of Internet Marketing position, he has proved to be an exceptional listener and quickly puts ideas into action. He has made the transition smoothly and easily and his creative ways of thinking add a fresh spin to our everyday work.”

Caroline Wolfe - (Note: Administrative team members are chosen each month based on a company wide vote. Comments are from fellow co-workers.) “Caroline is always so caring. She even has a boat load of medical supplies for when clutzs like me cut open the side of our fingers.”

“Caroline does a lot of behind the scenes stuff for the company like runs back to wilkes barre and she’s always nice to visitors and to everyone else. She’s a hard worker.”

“Because she is a sweetheart and willing to help anyone with anything at anytime.”

“Because she sends my outgoing netflix envelopes better than anyone else has ever done before.”

“Caroline deserved this award long before there was an Employee of the Month award. She is always professional and positive, and is willing to help with anything, anytime. Most importantly, she is incredibly humble.”

“Caroline is a great asset to the success of Solid Cactus, and until I walked in her shoes I underappreciated her services; this is to make up for it.”

“Caroline is always on top of things. She works with a ‘team’ attitude and focus.”

Kyle Ruane - “Kyle Ruane was chosen as employee of the month from the StoreDev team for his outstanding efforts and deliverables. Kyle’s design work is some of the most impressive coming out of the design team. He has a record of wowing the clients and impressing his peers. Also Kyle has stepped up numerous amounts of times to take on managerial roles to help the art director and to assist with department issues. He works efficiently and pays attention to every detail. We are proud to highlight Kyle for all his hard work.”

Shana Cavuto - “Shana Cavuto has quickly proven her star status in the world of Account Management. In less than a year with Solid Cactus, Shana has delivered a list of stunning e-commerce stores and continues to impress with her knowledge and expertise. Shana’s clients have nothing but positive things to say about her, as she has an ability to build relationships while building businesses. It is this ability to match legitimate consultative services with a keen knowledge of the market that makes Shana an obvious choice for the Account Manager Spotlight.”

Jeff Mancini “Jeff is highly organized and has a penchant for numbers - which is extremely helpful. He has really taken ownership of the production cycle and is continually trying to address issues in order to make us leaner and more effective.“
