Well, it’s the last day of 2008 and I’m just about to wrap my last website of they year. I was looking back at the sites I did in the beginning of the year and boy have they come along way. The Internet is constantly changing and it can be tough to stay current with the trends. This past year I have had the chance to learn new frameworks such as jQuery , YUI and Wordpress. I’ve also spent some time reading up on Zeldman’s Book - Designing with Web Standards and realizing that there is so many things I can do better to make my sites be top notch! One thing that I’ve done this last year is I finally made the switch from Pixels to Ems when it comes to font-sizes and even my layout structure. One site that has really helped me with that has been PXtoEM.com.
So with all of that said, what could I possibly do in 2009? Hmmm… I really dont’ know yet. There are so many avenues to explore. Who knows what will be the next big things of this coming year.
I’m also excited to see what new products we will come up with here at Solid Cactus.
All I do know is it’s gonna be a great year!
Here’s to 2009!
