October Team Members of the Month

I am pleased to announce the following have been named our Team Members of the Month for their outstanding performance. In addition to the recognition and accolades of their fellow team members, our EOMs get a reserved parking spot, spending money for our in-house restaurant, and their mug shot on the wall of fame. Congrats to all!

Jeff Sipler has consistently matched our Clients needs with the proper solution and business strategy to improve their internet marketing strategies and return on investment. In this economic climate Clients realize that they need to effectively market their business to get a leg up on and take market share from the competition. Clients reach out to Jeff as they realize he is the man that gets the job done.

With our fearless leader of account management, Matt Kresge, off for his wedding and honeymoon Amber Subjin really stepped in during his absence and led the group. She is upbeat, always open to taking the lead on new initiatives, has been continually trying to motivate the group … even when Matt is here.

Was there ever a limitation to being an employee of the month? I hope not because Keith Schaeffer is the employee of the month, again. For the past few months we’ve preached on and on about efficiency, lowering project times and increasing profit margin. The group endured meetings to chit-chats, huddles to cuddles, Keith was the first to jump to action and has been contributing to eliminate the SPG backlog. Since the days we’ve noticed a potential problem with the backlog, Keith has been logging 40+ hours each week. When the going gets worst, he didn’t just do the bare minimum, he almost doubled his efforts in the recent weeks. I like to think of him as the guy at Chachkis wearing 30 some pieces of flares. Last week, Keith logged a total of 70+ hours, which is practically doing the job of 2 people in one week. This is the perfect example of the going-above-and-beyond attitude we need from all of us to survive this failing economy. His attitude, charisma and dedication to getting us out of the hole is something all of us can learn from. Not only does he deserve the employee of the month recognition, he deserves to be the employee of the quarter, if not, year. Please give Keith a work-related high five when you see him next, he deserves it.

The reason Michal Dwojewski (one of our traffic managers) recommends Marc Manfre is because of his strong immune system. Though, apart from a strong ability to fend off the common cold, Marc has an exceptional rapport with clients and nearly all of his work is first concept approval. Continually upbeat and optimistic, Marc is always willing to help out and goes the extra mile for the clients and his team.

Alicia Magda has worked diligently to make the SEO department of Solid Cactus a success. It’s fair to say that if she never came on as an intern all those years back, SEO wouldn’t be an offering of Solid Cactus today. In the past couple of months she has more than doubled the size of her team, restructured her department and eliminated the evil backlog. Her dedication to her team and her positive attitude have allowed her and her team to overcome the dark days and move towards a bright future.

Switches, routers, phones, laptops, desktops, monitors, cable runs, software installs, virus removal, mouse ball cleaning…. it’s all in a day’s work for Kyle Senak. As the LAN Administrator for both Solid Cactus and Solid Cactus Call Center, Kyle spends his time between both our Wilkes-Barre and Shavertown locations taking care of virtually anything that has to do with a phone or a computer. Kyle is on-call 24/7/365 and spends plenty of time working after hours with our Cisco Partner to deploy software updates to our Cisco Telecommunications Network and all the servers that make up the Solid Cactus internal network. In preparation for Solid Cactus Boot Camp, Kyle spent extra hours running cable and installing wireless access points for our new training center in addition to setting up a dozen new laptops and running cables for new LCD displays around the building. Kyle truly exemplifies what dedication means and in his role often goes un-thanked, but everyone here who has had to call him when their computer or phone crashed can tell you he is a valuable member of our team.

Robin Bagot continues to show excellence in technical skills as well as leadership initiative. His contributions to development, support and administration have made him again outshine an excellent group of colleagues. Robin is results driven, detail oriented and very proactive. Congratulations Robin on being our first two time Employee of the Month.
