While charitable giving may be down along with the economy, the spirit of giving is alive and well at Solid Cactus as evidenced by our 4th quarter Solid Cactus Cares grants to worthy organizations. An amazing $12,500 is being distributed due to the generosity of Solid Cactus team members who have a percentage of their pay deducted each week to fund these grants. Additionally, Solid Cactus matches the employee contributions dollar-for-dollar. Since its inception, the Solid Cactus Cares Fund has given out more than $60,000 in cash and in-kind grants.
The recipients of our 4th quarter grants are:
• Great Valley Technology Alliance Computer Contest
• Dear Jack Foundation
• American Cancer Society Relay for Life
• Junior Achievement of NEPA, Inc.
• YMCA of Greater Pittston
• SPCA of Luzerne County’s Spay & Neuter Fund
• SPCA of Luzerne County’s Print & E-mail Newsletters (In-Kind)
• Shriners’ Hospital for Children
• F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts
• Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre
• Temple Israel, Wilkes-Barre (In-Kind)
• The Junior League of Wilkes-Barre (In-Kind)
Thanks to all participating team members for making this happen and thanks to The Luzerne Foundation, our fund administrator.
