Solid Cactus Cleans Up Its Adopted Roadway in Kingston Township
In a previous blog post, The Story of a Lawyer and His Litter, we learned that Solid Cactus adopted a roadway in Kingston Township, South Lehigh Street to be exact. After being fueled up on coffee and Munchkins, on Saturday morning, the clean-up crew of tree-hugging Cacti took to the adopted road, donning orange safety vests and work gloves. By morning’s end, the crew bagged up about a half-dozen trash bags full of litter.
The clean-up crew found many trashy treasures strewn about the shoulder and embankment– mainly beer bottles, coffee cups, fast food bags, soft-drink bottles, newspapers, cigarette butts and on the more obscure end, a skeleton (an animal) and a jug of something that looked eerily similar to blood. It’s really amazing what people will toss out their window, really.
We can proudly say that our home, Kingston Township is a little cleaner, and we’re certainly a little dirtier.
