Solid Cactus The Choice Of Famous Athlete’s Foundation For Their Web Site Design

April 27, 2007 (Wilkes-Barre, PA) Athletes for Hope,
a 501(c) (3) charitable organization founded by a dozen world-famous
athletes, unveiled its new web site to coincide with the group’s
nationally televised appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America. The web
site (AthletesforHope.org)
will provide information about each of the Founding Athletes and will
provide resources for connecting with Athletes for Hope and other
volunteering opportunities. The site was designed by Solid Cactus, a
renowned web design company and Yahoo! Small Business Partner.

“It has been a pleasure to work with the Solid Cactus staff,” said Ivan
Blumberg, CEO of Athletes for Hope. “The Solid Cactus staff has been
unbelievably accommodating and reliable throughout the whole process.
All of us at Athletes for Hope are grateful for their help.”

“We are delighted to be part of such a worthy cause,” said Scott
Sanfilippo, President of Solid Cactus. “They could have chosen anyone
for this design work. We are honored that Athletes for Hope chose Solid
Cactus.”

Athletes for Hope, represented by the athletes above (names were
removed at the request of Atlhetes for Hope - visit their website for
atlhete’s names), are sports figures of exemplary character who have a
deep commitment to charitable and community causes. Many other athletes
have strong philanthropic objectives, yet do not necessarily know which
organizations best suit those objectives. Athletes for Hope will use a
database of specifically profiled athletes and charities in an effort
to match an athlete’s philanthropic objectives with the charitable
needs of foundations throughout the country. In addition, AFH will work
with corporations to enhance their philanthropic efforts by partnering
with the professional athlete community.

“We designed and programmed their store and we programmed their main
site for the Yahoo! platform,” said Solid Cactus account manager Lou
Pagnotti. “Yahoo! is robust enough to support the expected volume of
traffic,” said Pagnotti. “In addition, Lance Armstrong’s site is a
Yahoo! platform. This is a great fit.”

In the spirit of the enterprise, Solid Cactus is donating half the cost
of the site design.
