We just couldn’t wait for Boot Camp in October to put on our cammo.
Donna Talarico (Solutions Advisor), Clayton Steele (Demand Generation), Kevin Baranowski (Demand Generation), Keith Kalmanowicz (Demand Generation), Audrey Korshoff (Solutions Advisor), Benjamin Mincavage (Design Team) and Audrey’s friend Sam headed to Skirmish U.S.A. for a day of paintball fun and games.
In early April, an even larger crew of Cactus employees took over the Pocono fields. It was so much fun, we just had to do it again, albeit less of us were able to make it this time around. We played in wooded fields, in castles, in villages, and in various other fields with bunkers and structures. We had a great referee and were teamed with several groups of strangers divided into two teams, and they were just great to play with. The weather was perfect- a cool breeze all day and it rained a bit right at the very end to cool us off.
Special thanks to Kevin who coordinated the event both times- he’s the resident paintball expert and was a great help on the fields, too, providing us with equipment tips, strategies and even anti-fog spray for our goggles. I even invested in my first piece of paintball gear: a mask.
For anyone who has never tried paintball before, you’ve got to try it! It exhilarating! And it doesn’t hurt too bad when the enemy strikes. So, here we are on Monday at work, with some welts and bruises– but also with memories of a great weekend and some serious tactical teamwork. (You can always count on Cactus’ teamwork.)
Maybe I shoudl try to talk Scott into working Skirmish into the Boot Camp schedule…
