I can’t event finish the sentence.
But yes, here in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre we are set to receive our first blast of winter weather just in time for Thanksgiving. The National Weather Service is calling for 3 to 6 inches of the white stuff between tonight and tomorrow afternoon. The only people smiling about this are the people at Sno Mountain (guys, it’s really,
really time to a redesign!) who have been blowing snow for a couple days now in anticipation of an early start for ski season. Hunters will be happy if a little snow is left on the ground for the start of deer season on Monday (I despise this cruel, barbaric so-called “sport” which turns my stomach just thinking about it).
Anyway, the cold weather now coupled with snow got me thinking of the Seinfeld episode where George Costanza, played by Jason Alexander, donned his new Gortex winter coat and looked similar to Bib, the Michelin Man. So for those that feel the need to dress warm in the winter, now is the time. And for those like me who wear shorts and polo shirts all year long, let’s pray it’s not a long winter.
