The month of October created a huge milestone in the history of the internet. According to Netcraft, an internet monitoring company, the 100 millionth piece of internet real-estate was obtained in the month of Oct.
Netcraft began tracking web domains back in August of 1995, when there were only a whopping 18,000 hosted web domains on the interenet. It’s almost hard to believe the first website, the technology our lives revolove around, was started in 1989 by a nuclear scientist who wanted to provide experts the ability to share data on particle smashing.
