Google recently launched its new online checkout to cater to shopper’s needs and security worries. Google Checkout is similar in many ways to PayPal, but each service is inherently different. Like PayPal, Google Checkout will indeed keep your credit or debit card information secure, allowing you to log in to Google Checkout to safely shop online. It is easy for merchants to integrate Google Checkout into their own stores, simply by copying and pasting a particular code.
However, Google Checkout is still in its infancy and does not provide the wide array of features that PayPal currently offers. PayPal allows money transfers to and from bank accounts and lets customers shop world wide, a service not yet provided by Google Checkout. PayPal is still the only secure checkout that shoppers can use on eBay, and is also used by thousands of other merchants world wide. Google Checkout is rapidly attracting attention, and is used by many major online stores, such as Buy.com. Both checkouts are reported to be equally safe, keeping customer’s account information secure with the same high level of security utilized by banks. If choosing by price, Google Checkout is the cheaper option. Although, Google Checkout does not presently integrate with Yahoo! Store without violating the Terms of Service.
PayPal may offer more services than Google Checkout, but you can be sure this new addition to safe online shopping will grow quickly. Undoubtedly, Google Checkout will revolutionize online checkouts, making shopping easier and safer.
