Three Out of Four Holiday Shoppers Will Buy Gifts Online

According to a recent poll conducted through Yahoo! Polls by Harris Interactive, the 12th largest market research firm in the world, approximately 76% of holiday shoppers plan to shop online for their holiday gifts. 75% of which said they are likely to purchase their gifts from small businesses online.

Respondenants expressed a high interest in websites that offer trusted, secure online payment systems, that are easy to navigate, and offer free shipping and/ or online discounts. Search Engines, second only to friends and family, prove to be highly influencial in regards to which small business shoppers will be purchasing from.
